Kitten (Feline) Vaccination Schedule

Kittens

8-10 Weeks Old

  • FeLV Test, If Desired
  • 1st FVR-CP Vaccination
  • 1st FeLV Vaccination

12 Weeks Old

  • 2nd FVR-CP
  • 2nd FeLV Vaccination

4-6 months of age

  • Rabies

The Combo Test for FeLV/FIV is recommended for cats over 6 months of age.

FVR-CP and FeLV vaccinations should be repeated once anually.

The first Rabies vaccination lasts for 1 year, then each vaccination given after that lasts for 3 years.

Worming Schedule

Start at 6 weeks of age and treat for round worms until 16 weeks of age.  Best way to stay on track is to worm each time they have a vaccination.  Then every six months after that, unless you notice worms in their fecal.  If ever a question, please ask your veterinarian.

Flea Treatment

May start flea treatment at 8 weeks of age with Frontline or Advantage.  Suggest using monthly, since our climate is mild year round.
