K-Laser Therapy

We now have K-Laser Class IV therapeutic treatments for advanced pain relief and enhanced tissue healing at Bailey Veterinary Clinic. We are now able to help your animal in ways we could not before, in a safe, effective and drug free manner. Examples are skin conditions, mouth and ear infections, arthritis, soft tissue injury, post surgical pain and many more

Laser therapy works by stimulation production of cellular energy in damaged cells and by enhancing the cell membrane permeability. This promotes the speed and the quality of healing, enhances the exchange of nutrients and wastes across the cell membrane and improves elasticity of injured tissues.

What is Laser Therapy?

Laser Therapy, or "photobiomodulation", is the use of specific wavelengths of light (red and near-infrared) to create therapeutic effects. These effects include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation and decreased swelling. Laser Therapy has been widely utilize in Europe by physical therapists, nurses and doctors as far back as the 1970's. Now, after FDA clearance in 2002, Laser Therapy is being used extensively in the United States

What to Expect

There is no patient sedation or restraint required and the experience is usually pleasant and comforting to them.

Although improvement is often seen after the first visit, most patients require several treatments [3 to 8] for greatest benefit. For most conditions, we recommend a multi-visit treatment plan. Treatment times do vary in length. Your veterinarian will recommend a treatment plan tailored to your pets condition.
